About us We specialise exclusively in renting vacation properties in the Dordogne region of Aquitaine in the South West of France to world-wide clients. This is a unique selection of quality homes, a strictly limited collection of the finest châteaux, manor houses and farmhouses in the area, which we have assembled since 1989, when we discovered the Dordogne , fell in love with the area and moved here from London. The Bourdil Blanc near Bergerac is owned by us. All the other properties we have personally inspected . These are all chosen because of their unique quality, assurance , value for money, character and charm and are often situated in idyllic locations. All the owners are known to us personally and they are aware of the exacting standards required by our international clientele. We always meet with the owner and inspect and photograph all properties offered for rental. As permanent residents we know the region extremely well and can give detailed advice as necessary.You will find the guide book about the Dordogne which we have written most useful. This can be bought online. Check out the link on the Home Page. What makes our company different from others ? Our in depth knowledge of the area, the houses and the owners. There is no doubt that we have the best houses to rent in the area. How ? We have lived here for nearly twenty years and have built up a very successful track record over this time sourcing and renting the best houses. This is because we are on site.We live in Bergerac and are fluent in French. We can therefore also provide you with the best service whilst you are on holiday. This means assistance with travel arrangements, restaurant bookings, advice on things to do, guides and additional staff at the house , either maid service or cooks or anything else you may wish to know about. Please note that most owners provide limited housekeeping as part of the rental price. Where it is not provided we can arrange housecleaning through the owner, generally at about Euros 10-15 per hour. All properties have either a caretaker or other responsible person who may be contacted in case of emergency or because of plumbing, electrical or other problems. The phone numbers of these contact persons are provided. Properties with pools invariably include pool maintenance. We are on site to help if these local maintenance people do not provide the service desired in an emergency. Many owners have prepared extensive information for guests that includes restaurant recommendations and suggestions for local sightseeing. Most owners welcome clients personally or arrange to have their local caretaker do so. Owners normally welcome guests at 17.00 on the day of arrival, and expect them to vacate on their departure date by 10:00am. This allows the owner time to clean the property after a client's departure and before the next client's arrival. Arrival and departure times may sometimes be altered in exceptional circumstances. All these last minute details, changes of plan and special requirements are our speciality and this is what can make all the difference between an average and a truly wonderful holiday. In brief our aim is to find you a quality holiday rental home which meets your specific requirements and is hassle free and most enjoyable once you have arrived. We have lived in the UK and the US in the past so we really do understand the specific requirements of our Anglo - Saxon clients. We do this by talking to you and corresponding with you about what you really want. We have years of experience in matching people and properties.
